Our School
HISTORY: The centre was officially taken under the Al Muntazir umbrella in January 2013 with the aim of providing a holistic approach to education for children with special needs. This is done by supporting their learning with the introduction of an inclusive curriculum, enabling each pupil to flourish as an individual by recognising their uniqueness.
Why Special School? Special education provision is essential for students who have additional needs that can impact their ability to learn in a mainstream setting. In these alternative provisions, there are adapted learning environments, specific teaching approaches curated to best support the individual, bespoke curricula and a focus on the holistic development of each child. This tailored approach isn’t normally offered in general education and so parents or carers have either agreed to or requested a special school placement.

Learning Environment
The Al Muntazir Special Education Needs (AMSEN) caters for young people between 4-20 years at age with a variety of needs including moderate or severe learning disabilities (MLD/SLD), Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), Dyslexia, Downs Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy and many more. We provide different prospects for children with special needs to thrive and achieve their full potential.
Our goal is to shape the future of our students by providing an encouraging and supportive environment where they will inculcate essential skills to be as independent as possible and meaningfully contribute to the wider society
