Special Olympics Tanzania
The Special Olympics is the world’s largest sports organization for children and adults with intellectual disabilities, providing year-round training and competitions to 5 million athletes and Unified States Sports partners in 172 countries
AMSEN have been privileged to be associated with the Special Olympics and participate in the National Games which are held every 4 years. Students go for sports training every Thursday at the Jakaya Kikwete youth sports park during school hours. The training is supervised by Special Olympics coaches at the JK sports park.
Clubs:
The centre offers extra-curricular activities designed to develop skills, character, and leadership. The activities serve both as recreation and fostering important vocational skills, independence and potential job skills. Club activities are done on Friday morning.
