About Our School

Our History

2002.  Al Muntazir Central Board of Education (CBE) made the decision to run a single-gender primary school. The formerly known Al Muntazir Junior school then became Al Muntazir Boys and Girls Primary School.

2002-2014.  The school was under the Tanzanian National Curriculum providing for primary years Standard I – VII culminating with a Primary School Leaving Exam (PSLE) provided by the National Examination Council of Tanzania (NECTA) in Standard VII. The calendar ran from January to December 2022.

2015.  Al Muntazir adapted the Cambridge International Curriculum for Primary Schools in Grade 1 and began phasing out the National Curriculum.

2022- Marked the complete phasing out of National Curriculum and the School had a transition year of 8 months beginning from January 2022- September 2022 resulting in two graduating streams. Those from Year 6 who completed Cambridge Primary International Curriculum and the Grade 7 who represented our final batch of students who sat for the NECTA examinations.

We now embark on the new calendar and a complete transition to Cambridge International for Primary Schools from 19th September 2022. The Calendar will therefore run from September 2022- August 2023 this year.
