Professional Development

The Al Muntazir schools offer The Cambridge International curriculum which is flexible, challenging and inspiring, culturally sensitive yet international in approach. Cambridge students develop an informed curiosity and a lasting passion for learning. They also gain the essential skills they need for success at university and in their future careers.

To meet the needs of this curriculum, Excellent teaching – including the development of the learner attributes – is the single most significant factor impacting on learners’ academic performance and personal growth that a school can influence.

Successful schools, and successful school systems, develop and nurture highly skilled teachers who are encouraged to be creative professionals working in a collaborative culture.

The Teachers of Al Muntazir school were the first in East Africa to complete the entire Cambridge Teachers Training offered by the Cambridge University Press. The intensive training covered 5 key areas of inclusive Education, Learner Centered Approach, Formative Assessments, Digital Technologies and Differentiated Instruction.

The training was facilitated over two days with professional trainers from Cambridge under the guidance of the Region Head East Africa, Mr. Andrew Ndeda.

We celebrate this milestone and look forward to providing the professional development opportunities for our staff and the best resources for students towards the knowledge and skills they need to achieve at schools, universities and beyond.
