    Mental Health Through Art

The Secondary celebrated Mental Health Awareness Week under the theme “Take Care of Your Mind, Take Care of Yourself.”
The week began with counsellor-led assemblies across our Boys Wing, Girls Wing and A-Level section, reminding students of the importance of mental wellbeing, resilience and seeking support when needed.
Throughout the week, our libraries hosted engaging lunchtime activities, including mental health bingo, balloon activities encouraging students to let go of emotions, a spin-the-wheel mental health Q&A, and creative art sessions. These activities encouraged students to reflect, express themselves and learn about mental health in a fun and interactive way.

Recognising that wellbeing matters for everyone, we also organised a dedicated art session for our teachers, offering them an opportunity to unwind, express their creativity and take a well-deserved break from their busy routines.

At ALMIIS, we believe that mental health deserves attention, understanding and care — not just for one week, but every day.
Take Care of Your Mind, Take Care of Yourself.

AMSEN Shines at the 4th Para Swimming National Talent Identification Gala!

What a fantastic achievement for our AMSEN swimmers! Our athletes made a splash, bringing home 13 gold medals, 9 silver medals, 5 bronze medals, and 3 additional medals in the overall competition!
But beyond the medals, what made the day truly special was the joy, the smiles, and the incredible team spirit we witnessed both in and out of the water.
As our AMSEN swimming team continues to grow, we are proud to see more than just numbers growing. We are seeing a team that celebrates one another, cheers for their peers, shares in each other’s successes, and genuinely enjoys the sport together.

Here’s to our incredible swimmers, who remind us that success is not only measured in medals but also in confidence, friendship, teamwork, and joy!

Sun, Sand & Skill Studios: Year 2 Takes Learning to the Shore!

Learning hit the beach this week as our Year 2 students stepped outside the traditional classroom for an unforgettable Skill Studio session. Guided by the rhythm of the waves and fueled by endless imagination, our young learners took over the coast for a day of hands-on creativity and collaboration.

Armed with buckets, spades, and a sense of wonder, students teamed up to engineer epic sandcastles and design unique art pieces using natural seashells. Beyond the pure joy of a day by the ocean, the outdoor studio offered a vibrant canvas for developing essential real-world skills—sharpening creative problem-solving, fostering teamwork, and building strong collaborative bonds.

It was proof positive that when curious minds step outside the classroom walls, inspiration is everywhere!

  • Alumni U-Turn Programs

    Alumni U-Turn Programs

We were delighted to host an ALMIIS Alumni Session: Studying Medicine in Tanzania, where our A-Level students had the opportunity to hear directly from ALMIIS alumni who are currently studying Medicine in Tanzania.

We were joined by Yunus Osman, a 3rd-year Medical Student at Kairuki; Shahneez Jamal, a 4th-year Medical Student at MUHAS; and Ridhwan Mohamed, a 5th-year Medical Student at KCMC. As current medical students themselves, they shared their personal journeys — what inspired them to pursue Medicine, how they navigated their A-Levels, the process of transitioning into medical school, and what life is really like as a medical student. The session offered our students an honest and relatable perspective from those who were once sitting in the very same classrooms, helping them reflect on their own interests, choices and future pathways.

  • Exploring University Pathways

    Exploring University Pathways

Al Muntazir Islamic International School, in collaboration with EduKwanza, was delighted to host 25+ universities for an engaging university fair designed specifically for our A-Level students.
The event provided students with the opportunity to meet university representatives, explore different college pathways and programmes, and gain valuable insight into what universities look for during the application and preparation process.
More importantly, students were encouraged to look beyond the university application itself — to start asking important questions about their interests, strengths, career aspirations, and the future they want to build.
Through meaningful conversations and direct engagement with university representatives, our students are taking important steps towards making informed decisions about their next chapter.
At Al Muntazir, we believe that preparing for university begins with understanding yourself, exploring your possibilities, and mapping your future.
