The School held a meaningful Hajj demonstration to introduce the children to the annual Islamic pilgrimage that takes place during the Islamic month of Dhul Hijjah. Teachers created a mini replica of the Holy Kaaba in Makkah, Safa and Marwa mountains and the well of Zamzam providing the children with an engaging and interactive learning experience.
As part of the activity, the children dressed in simple white garments to help them understand the values of unity and equality during Hajj. They participated in Tawaf by walking around the Kaaba seven times while reciting “Labbaik Allahumma Labbaik,” helping them experience one of the important rituals of Hajj in an age-appropriate way.
The children also performed the journey between the mountains of Safa and Marwa and visited the Zamzam well area, where they learned about the significance of Zamzam
water in Islam. Through these practical experiences, the children developed a deeper understanding and appreciation of one of the most important pillars of Islam in a meaningful and memorable way.
