Literacy Week at Nursery

September was filled with stories, imagination and excitement as we celebrated Literacy Week! Our children enjoyed dressing up as characters from their favourite stories and taking part in a variety of story-based activities. Through listening, retelling, exploring books, songs and rhymes, children discovered the joy of stories and language.

Our Reception classrooms were transformed into exciting learning environments, with areas converted into a jungle and displays filled with interesting facts to encourage curiosity, discussion and exploration. These engaging spaces provided opportunities for children to immerse themselves in stories while developing their vocabulary, communication and understanding of the world around them.

The children also had the opportunity to learn about the Holy Qur’an, its importance in our lives and the special care and respect we should show towards it. A special thank you to our parents for their creativity and effort in preparing the children’s costumes, which added so much excitement and colour to the week.
