As we conclude the month of May, we proudly reflect on another month filled with growth, collaboration, and meaningful learning experiences across our school community. At AMSEN, we continue to believe that every student can learn, participate, and thrive when provided with the right support, opportunities, and environment.
This month, our focus on integrity reminded us that honesty is expressed not only through words but also in our everyday actions. Across classrooms, assemblies, therapy sessions, and group activities, our students have been continuously guided to understand integrity through meaningful daily experiences. Whether completing tasks independently, participating positively in small group sessions, taking responsibility for their actions, or demonstrating honesty during classroom routines, our learners are encouraged to practise integrity in practical and purposeful ways. Through consistent
modelling, encouragement, and explicit teaching, AMSEN continues to nurture responsible, trustworthy, and socially aware individuals.
We are also pleased to see AMSEN strengthening professional collaborations with higher learning institutions across Tanzania, including MUHAS and KCMC. These partnerships not only provide valuable practical learning opportunities for future professionals but also promote meaningful knowledge sharing and multidisciplinary collaboration within our school environment.
One of the highlights of the month was successfully hosting our 2nd Annual Special Needs Open Swimming Gala. The event brought together students from different schools in a
wonderful celebration of inclusion, participation, confidence, and sportsmanship. It was truly heartwarming to witness our students demonstrate determination, resilience, and joy both in and out of the pool.
May also brought a deeply meaningful spiritual learning experience through our Hajj assembly, where students and parents came together to experience and understand the rituals of Hajj in a practical, engaging, and inclusive way. The event beautifully reflected AMSEN’s belief that faith-based learning and meaningful participation are possible for all learners when
adapted thoughtfully and intentionally. As always, we sincerely thank our parents, staff, therapists, and the wider community for your continued support and partnership in helping every learner reach their fullest potential.
